Field Editors:

Field Editors provide direction for the journal and build a strong management team. They have a responsibility to ensure an efficient and timely review process of manuscripts submitted for publication and to establish and maintain high standards of professional quality. Field Editors should be alert to possible cases of plagiarism, duplication of previous published work, misappropriation of intellectual property, and inappropriate attribution.Working with the FFHD Editor-in-Chief, with Editorial Board, each field editor selects content to be reviewed and reviews manuscripts for publication. Field Editors should publish at list 2 manuscript per year in our journal  and  serve as a guest editor for FFHD.

Editorial Board:

 

Eligibility Criteria and Responsibilities for FFHD Editorial Board Membership

Eligibility for editorial board member appointments is based on the following criteria:

  1. Editorial Board member has served as a guest reviewer for FFHD and completed an adequate number of high quality reviews.
  2. Editorial Board member has obtained a doctoral degree specializing in nutrition, functional foods, chronic diseases or related fields at least five years before serving on the FFHD Editorial Board.
  3. Editorial Board member has published 1 manuscript per year (preferably the first 6 months of becoming an Editorial Board member), initial membership requirements: 2 publications in FFHD.
  4. Editorial Board member has demonstrated expertise in areas needed on the board of FFHD. 
  5. Editorial Board member is committed to attending the annual FFHD Editorial Board meetings when possible.

The FFHD Editorial Board members’ responsibilities include the following:

  1. Complete a minimum of 5 reviews per year in a timely manner.
  2. Provide respectful and constructive reviews for authors that avoid hurtful language and contribute high quality papers. 
  3. Demonstrate confidentiality and objectivity regarding the manuscripts and the review process.
  4. Publish at list 1 manuscript per year in the journal of FFHD.
