Abstract Submission 

The entire abstract should have a maximum of 650 words; tables or diagrams may be used. Please use Times New Roman Font 12.  

The first author of the research abstract is considered the primary author and must present the abstract. One person may be the primary author on a maximum of two abstracts submitted. Only one abstract may be presented as an oral presentation, with the other presented as a poster; or both abstracts may be presented as posters. The primary author must be the person who presents the abstract at the conference.

 

Abstract Formatting Specifications:

  1. All abstract submissions must include research-based data to allow for a thorough review. Please submit all abstracts electronically via the web, using this link: or by e-mail, at ffc_usa@sbcglobal.net in an attached file. The web submission system will automatically produce your abstract in the proper format for publication in the Abstracts Proceedings Book. You may copy and paste your abstract into the space provided on the website.
     
  2. Abstracts must contain the following:
  • Title

  • Author(s) – do not include degree acronyms (i.e., BS, MS, PhD, etc)

  • Primary institution/Laboratory name, city, state and country

  • The body of the abstract

    3. The body of the abstract should contain the following sections:

  • Background,
  • Methods,
  • Results,
  • Conclusions, and
  • Key Words. 

 

    4.  Abstracts cannot contain the following:

  • Brand names.

  • Advertisements. Research abstracts should be free from solicitations and should not contain demonstrations of products for the purpose of sales. Exhibitor’s tables are available for the purpose of advertisement and sales. 

     5. Abstracts can contain either one graph or one table, but not both.

  • A graph or table must be embedded into the abstract and cannot exceed 1/3 of the size of the abstract box.
  • Any graph or table must pertain to the abstract and visualize data, and must be referred to in the abstract's text.

Please also provide the following information in the accompanying e-mail:

  • Primary/Presenting author's name
  • Primary author's professional mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number
  • Desired presentation format (i.e., oral, poster)
