Since 1998, the FFC has been the leading organization worldwide for education related to functional foods. We've maintained two open access journals (“FFHD” and “BCHD”), published 38 books including 8 textbooks on functional foods, established the Academic Society of Functional Foods and Bioactive Compounds (ASFFBC) which has 3000+ distinguished members, and hosted 27 international conferences around the globe. As a continuation of this dedication to functional foods, the FFC is now pioneering a new guided program of study (GPS) intended to practically teach the concepts of functional foods. Unlike other online courses where you’re required to teach yourself, you will work day-to-day with your instructor to complete a personalized project in functional foods.


The Goal of This Program

Given our dedication to the field of functional foods, we want to become more actively involved in teaching and training those that wish to become more knowledgeable about the topic. Through our guided study and training program, we will work with you to create a personalized project that will provide you with a hands-on education of functional foods. This course includes 100 hours of guided training through a personalized program related to functional foods.

The goal of this program is to provide a unique guided experience in the field of functional foods. Unlike other training programs, you will receive daily guidance on your objectives and regularly discuss the theory behind functional food concepts as well as new research in the field with your instructors and supervisors. This is a very unique and invaluable program that will allow you to learn about functional foods directly from the most prominent organization in the field of functional foods.

For this reason, it can provide massive benefits to all demographics of people interested in functional foods from industry professionals to university students to those not involved in science at all. By successfully completing an FFC PGS course, you will gain all 60 credits needed to become a certified Functional Food Scientist or Functional Food Professional.

If necessary, we can offer you a payment plan that allows you to pay the full price of the course in smaller monthly installments to make the program more affordable for you.

For members of the ASFFBC, it is $695.00.

We will schedule an online Skype call in order to discuss your interests more in depth and agree on a personalized project for you that you will complete over the course of the program.
